Art Deco rings are the most coveted pieces in the vintage bridal market. No expense was spared in producing these masterpieces as the 1920’s were some of the most affluent times in our history.
This rare and ravishing, original Early Art Deco dazzler - circa 191510 - features Large White, antique Old Cushion Brilliant cut diamond, weighing 4.01carat.
The Diamond is EGL USA certified as H-I color and SI3 clarity. Very white and 100% eye clean.
Just the diamond alone was appraised for almost $36000!
The measurements of the Center are 9.43x7.60x6.62mm. The gorgeous stone is presented horizontally in a hand fabricated 18k white gold mounting is flanked left and right by a shimmering row of baguette diamonds in the steps design. The total weight of the 6 graduated straight baguettes is estimated 0.60ct G-H in color SI in clarity. A truly sensational, singular and stunning vintage jewel.
Diamond sits low 6.62 mm from the top of the finger for your comfort. The band tappers from 5.23mm to1.85 mm on the bottom.
Ring is in good vintage condition, very little wear to the setting in the form of minor abrasions and knicks to the metals. Center diamond is in very good condition , with some minor sing of wear around the girdle. Wear would be consistent with age and use.
Provenance: The ring was purchased from very prominent family in Newton Abbot, United Kingdom. Most likely English made.
Hallmarks: 18ct ( European mark for 18k gold), 750 and 09 ( possibly the year the ring was made).
